There is a spectacular 30’ lounge/diner with vaulted ceiling and exposed king post trusses. Exposed stonework, a wood/solid fuel burning stove (for which there is an additional charge), T. V., DVD and ‘B&O’ stereo.
The barn has a fully equipped, newly fitted kitchen, with microwave, electric cooker,dishwasher, extractor hood, fridge, kettle, toaster, oak cupboards and washer/dryer. There is a full complement of good quality utensils, cutlery, glasses and crockery.
The lounge has really comfortable furniture (some of which is antique), two rocking chairs and an oak dining table and chairs. Wall lights and feature spot lights create the mood and there is a selection of books, magazines, CD's and games to keep everyone happy. Internet access is available, with laptop in the lounge (as from 2008) for an additional charge
As part ofthe newly constructed loft conversion we have created a landing library. Here you will find a good selection of books and a wide range of leaflets with lots of information about local attractions and events.
There are two en suite bedrooms. The loft suite is accessed from the staircase in the lounge and offers a twin bedroom, with hanging space, three chest of drawers, bed side shelves, a clock radio, hair dryer and a television. The en-suite bathroom has a bath with shower over, wash basin and toilet. The loft suite has three West facing sky lights. (Headroom in the loft suite is limited - if you are over 6 foot tall you may wish to use the ground floor suite)
The ground floor suite has a luxury double bed, fitted wardrobes, a full length mirror, a hair dryer, a flat screen LCD digital TV/DVD and a full window wall. The en-suite shower room has a double sized shower cubicle with power shower toilet and wash basin.The barn has fully automatic (oil fired) central heating (the cost is included in hire charge), with constant hot water all year. There are wooden floors throughout, with double glazing and insulated walls, floors and ceiling, making it lovely and warm on those winter nights. Off street parking is available for one vehicle. (Vehicles parked at owners risk) All linen, bedding & towels are included.
There is a garden area, with lawn, a bench, tables and chairs for the sole use of guests. |
