What a wonderful Christmas we have had. The accommodation was more than we could have imagined and the area around stunning.

The thoughtful touches of the Christmas decorations and baubles made everything very magical (especially as we are used to hot Christmases! We even ha snow – wow! The history of the area is amazing. Looking forward to coming back again someday to explore some more and of course to stay here!

We have enjoyed a lovely week here. Enjoyed days out at Bakewell, Buxton, Matlock, Heights of Abraham &  Gulliver’s Kingdom. Great food at the Hardwick Inn definitely worth a visit and for a cheap and cheerful meal the Young Vanish can’t be beaten.

Very friendly village, kids loved the pony across the road. Very well equipped cottage.

What a lovely find! -  both the barn and the surrounding area. We have had a lovely few days exploring the area and driving through the Peaks.

The barn has been lovely to come home to each day, being warm and cosy. The complimentary wine in the barn was lovely and the local beers at the Hardwick just as good. The walk and the senery are breathtaking – what more could a colonial ask for!

This was our first visit to Derbyshire & the Peak District and what a wonderful place the barn was to stay in and call our home for the week.
